Horse Management Proposal

Horse management is not a new concept to the National Park Service (NPS). They currently have public/private partnerships in the management of other horses on the Eastern Seaboard. Links to other programs for comparison will be available under the Research tab of this website. LightHorse Healthcare, Inc. (LHH) through the Cumberland Island Horse Project proposes the following rough proposal for the study and management of the herd for the benefit of the island, the horses, the visitors and the local community. This proposal assumes non-profit and private support of the program and assumes no funding requirement from the NPS or the federal government.
